Regarding  our eligibility criteria,  at  "The Samui Clinic" our services have been designed to  enable people who have found it difficult, for various reasons to undergo SRS surgery elsewhere - "to  be able to - fulfil their dream".   Research has suggested that many people throughout the world are faced with this dilemma.  We also endeavour and are more than pleased to follow the criteria as set down by the Harry Benjamin foundation.   

At the "Samui Clinic" the ideology is simple. If you are over eighteen, mature, are not psychiatrically unbalanced or obviously suffering a mentally ill and the clinic's team feel that they are acting in your best interest then you may be assessed to have the surgery.  In this respect we feel that we are not acting irresponsibly and do not have a policy of "pay the money, jump on the table and have the surgery" as I have seen written.

The aim of the Samui Clinic is no only to provide an alternative service for persons not being able to  meet the normal  'HB criteria' through financial or other reasons,  but also  to make sure that throughout your stay, at our clinic in Thailand, that  you feel safe, secure, comfortable and above all receive skilled, and first class SRS and most importantly  post operative follow-up. 

Also, to set up your pre-operative meetings with our most reputable surgeons and to make sure that everything goes through smoothly for you. 

The Samui Clinic can arrange all of your transportation relating to surgery once you arrive at either  Koh Samui and all of your post-op hospital accommodation whilst you are here.

Depending on the type of SRS being undertaken you may spend up to two days preparation plus five days in the hospital. Followed by a further period under close supervision so you will not just be left on your own. You should plan to be in Thailand for 2-3 weeks.

'The Samui Clinic currently uses the Bandon Group of Hospitals located in Surat Thani and on the island of Koh Samui.  These hospitals are modern with up to date equipment and first class nursing facilities.  The rooms are private and have air conditioning.  All of our surgeons are highly experienced in their particular specialist area and have completed many SRS procedures, operating on people from all over the world.

The two surgical procedure most commonly used here is the penile inversion technique method for the lining of the vagina,  plus the use of the scrotal skin to construct the labia minora and the use of a small portion of the gland penis with it's sensory nerves and vessels to construct the new clitoris to give you sensation there.  For extra depth and lubrication  the 'colon segment method'  procedure can also be carried out.

As it is an offence under the laws of The Kingdom of Thailand for Thai doctors to advertise openly on the internet or in other general publications.  The qualifications and other information relating to the clinics surgeons shall be sent after the initial enquiry or later on  request.  All surgeons have extensive experience of SRS and other cosmetic surgery procedures and are members of either the Thai Royal College of Surgeons or other recognised medical bodies.

      
 As mentioned previously at 'The Samui Clinic' the criteria for qualification is both responsible and flexible depending on the  clinic and surgeons assessment on a case by case basis.  Most importantly we need to know that you have fully thought out the consequences of having this irreversible operation done and that you have your life in order for your return to your own country after surgery. You must be fully aware that this operation is irreversible and you will never be able to return to the way you are now - so be absolutely sure that  this operation is for you..
